Well That was awkward!

Well,  I was chatting to a mate and they began talking about my best friend. It was ok, as we were discussing her in a nice way, saying how smart she is and how cool it is to have her as a matey mate. Then, out of  NOWHERE, she starts being bitchy. I was just going, ok, true. Well, that was a slight change of pace wasn't it? I stood there totally silent as the clock continued to tick away. After 10 minutes of her non-stop chattering, there was a VERY long awkward silence. I planned on breaking it by saying "did you know in every awkward silence, a gay baby is born?" Yeah, I know it's weird, but that's what I say to break an awkward silence. As I wasn't really thinking, it came out "Did you know in every gay silence, and awkward baby is born?" At first it was even more awkward, and we stood there in ANOTHER awkward silence. A few seconds passed, and we began giggling. The giggling then turned into hard-core laughter, which then turned into side-splitting, roll-on-the-floor laughing fits. I got the hiccups, and then went to get a drink of water with the rest of mates' group of friends, who I don't really know. I started drinking, then my mate turns up and goes "Hey, did you know in every gay silence, and awkward baby is born?' and the water went shooting through my nose as I laughed once more. It shot straight at the group of girls sitting down. It came out of my nose and my mouth, as I was laughing too hard.

They all had looks of disgust on their faces as they wiped water off their faces, uniforms and bags. Needless to say, I haven't sat with them since.
